NX2174 - HALL, Walter Edward (Legs), Pte. - B Company, 10 Platoon The original headstone on the grave of "Legs" Hall. He was killed accidently (fractured skull) while POW in Kobe Japan. He died of his injuries on 15/8/1943, and was cremated. His ashes were interred in Juganji Temple, Osaka. The urn was transferred to the USAF Mausoleum, Yokohama, and then his ashes were laid to rest in Yokoham Cemetery on 4/12/1945. Yokohama Cemetery, Australian Section, Grave B.B.9 NX2174 PTE. W.E.
