1979 Tour, Day 04 Gemencheh Bridge 14/1/1979 - a party of Malayan ex-Servicemen from Seramban cleared jungle undergrowth between the new and old roads, so that 2/30 Bn Group was able to go through and climb to the B Company HQ position. Many interested Malays may be seen below them on the old road, from whence it went into the defile of the ambush position. Included in the report of the 2/30 Bn Group Tour to Malaysia and Singapore.
