Part of 8th Div. Memorial souvenir, which is a piece of granite from the 8th Div. Memorial at Bathurst, mounted on a square red felt covered base, with engraved label. Gift from 'Black Jack' Galleghan to Maj. Allan Shearing.

Inscription reads:
To Major Allan Shearing E.D.
In appreciation of his valuable services in connection with the organisation and erection of the National Memorial to the 8th Australian Division A.I.F. dedicated at Bathurst N.S.W. August 15th 1970
